Specialty Care

Specialty pet grooming
in Guelph.

For the pets who need a little extra. Senior pace, supportive handling, de-skunking, odor recovery, and patient work with anxious or service dogs.

Senior dog grooming

As dogs age, grooming gets harder. Joints stiffen, and standing for a full bath takes a toll. We adjust the pace, take breaks when your senior needs one, and we use a vet-recommended grooming sling to keep older dogs supported during nail clips.

The goal: a clean, comfortable visit your senior walks out of without a limp.

Special-needs and handicapped dog grooming

Mobility issues, missing limbs, blind dogs, dogs with chronic conditions. We groom them all. The salon is built for calm, we never use rough handling, and we work around what each dog needs.

Tell us what to expect when you book. We'll have the room, the time, and the right hands ready.

Service and support dog grooming

Service dogs work hard, and they deserve the same gentle care as the families they support. We groom service, therapy, and emotional-support dogs at the same patient pace as every other client.

A calm, familiar routine every visit, for the dog who needs routine most.

De-skunking your dog

Got skunked? Call us and we will try to get you in for a de-skunking as soon as we can.

In the meantime, do not wash your dog with plain water. Skunk spray is an oil, so water just repels it and can make the smell worse. Avoid peroxide too, as it can burn some dogs' skin. Work Dawn dish soap into the coat first to break down the oil, then rinse.

When you come in, we skip the peroxide and tomato-juice tricks and finish with a professional Skunk-Off shampoo and a thorough blow-out for a fresh-smelling coat.

Odor removal and odor recovery

Some smells aren't from a skunk. Musty fur after a swim, lingering smells after illness, or a coat that's gone past its bath window. We use de-odorizing shampoos and a thorough blow-out to bring the freshness back.

Grooming for anxious and reactive dogs

Most groomers can't handle anxious dogs. We can. We work at your dog's pace, stop for breaks when they need it, and we'd rather take an extra thirty minutes than rush.

Many of our regulars came to us after bad experiences elsewhere. They keep coming back because their dog finally lets them.

Sign language for deaf and hard-of-hearing pet owners

Communicating with your groomer matters. We accommodate deaf and hard-of-hearing pet owners and can communicate in sign language. Mention it when you book and we'll have the right person ready at the front desk.
